The 2071 Nutone radio-intercom is an older unit that is easily replaced by the current IM-3303 system. The 2071 was a 5 wire system. The wire consisted of a twisted pair plus 3 separate wires. When installing the new IM-3303 system, you can use the existing wiring. The IM-3303 is a 3 wire system, so you will simply not use the twisted pair when installing the new system. Below is a list of the old item and the replacement.

412 Door Speaker | IS-70 with IA-70 Mounting Frame | The 412 was a surface mounted speaker. By using the IA-70 frame, you can surface mount the IS-70 door speaker. Since the IM-3303 is a hands free system, there is no talk/listen switch on the IS-70. When connecting the new system, you would use the silver and center wire and ignore the copper. |

2084 Remote Controls
| IC-331 | This can be a little tricky, but the IR-91 which is the rough-in for the IC-331 should fit right into the 3 gang box that the old control was mounted in. Then it is a matter of simply mounting the new control to the rough-in. The rough-in measure 6 1/8"x 3 1/4". The IC-331 measures 7"x 4", so it should cover the old hole. |
