The 2011/2012 Nutone radio-intercom is an older unit that can be replaced by the current IM-3303. Both system were a 3 wire system. This means that you will be able to use your existing wiring when installing your new system. Below is a list of the old items and the replacement procedure.

| Both of these systems are a 3-wire system. That means that you will be able to use your existing wiring. The IM-3303 should be used with the IA-119 adapter frame. With the frame the new master measures !7" x 9 3/4" which is just large enough to cover the old hole, but not large enough to cover the foot print made by the 2011/2012. This might require you to do some touch up painting. |
2000A Master Rough-in | IR-104 Rough-in
| The IR-104 rough-in is 3/4" longer and 2 3/8" narrower than the old rough-in. The little gap on top and bottom of the new rough-in will be covered by the master station. |
2024 Inside Speaker
| IS-338 Speaker | The IS-338 is large enough to cover the hole and footprint of the old speakers. |
2024A Rough-in for 2024 Speaker | IR-80 | To install the IR-80, you will have to open up your existing hole by approximately 3 1/8"x 3 1/4". |
2005 Speaker
| IS-70 | The 2005 speaker can be replaced by the IS-70. It will mount right inside the old rough-in. When hooking it up, you will notice that you have 3 wires going to the old speaker. You will just use the center and the silver wire with the new IS-70. |
